Final thoughts

Talk to your peers!

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

Time between interviews: A few hours
Length of interviews: 30 mins

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

Interviewers were very patient, kind and supportive. The interview was quite similar to a tutorial. It was a discussion of ideas, and the ideas would be continuously pushed to their extremes by the tutor.

How did you prepare for your interviews?

Reading relevant books (suggestions can be found here on the Inside Uni website in the subject guides) and watching Khan Academy courses

If you took a test, how did you prepare?

Practice papers

What advice would you give to future applicants?

Make friends during interviews and talk to people. It helps make the experience much more enjoyable, and if you get in you will already know lots of people in college!
