Final thoughts

The interviewers are friendlier than you would expect.

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

Interview Format

I had two interviews, each with two interviewers, each for 20 minutes. The names of the interviewers were given out a week beforehand. The interviews were nearly completely intellectually based, basically nothing on the fluffier stuff. The interviewers also asked questions about medical cases I had mentioned in my personal statement. I was shown a graph and asked open ended questions regarding graphs, "no wrong answer" type of thing.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

We discussed statistics, diagnoses, and some questions based on A level content.

How did you prepare?

I looked at forums with past Oxbridge questions. I also contacted an older girl from my school who was studying the same course at Cambridge. I also did some interview prep with my teachers, none of whom had gone to Cambridge.

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?

The interviewers were really friendly.
