Final thoughts

Nope

Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

Interview Format

2 interviews, one based on an hour long test I did immediately beforehand and the TSA. Each interview had two interviewers - in the second one, one of them didn’t speak or smile at all (quite unnerving!). The first interview was quite informal. Both interviews were 30 mins.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

The first interview started with extracurricular chat! It then moved on to problem solving and questions very similar to those found on ‘I want to study engineering ‘.

The second interview was entirely based on the test which was half maths (graph drawing) and half circuits (much to my horror!). I had just learnt about graph drawing so got those perfectly but my circuit analysis was a disaster and required a lot of talking through.

How did you prepare?

I want to study Engineering is a great website!

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?

Nope!
