Remember this advice isn't official. There is no guarantee it will reflect your experience because university applications can change between years. Check the official Cambridge and Oxford websites for more accurate information on this year's application format and the required tests.

Also, someone else's experience may not reflect your own. Most interviews are more like conversations than tests and like, any conversation, they are quite interactive.

Interview Format

2 interviews, each 20 minutes. One general, one subject specific.

What happened in your interview? How did you feel?

General: usual discussion of why Cambridge, why the college, a little bit of discussion on personal statement.

Specific: curve sketching, critical thinking, article discussion. The curve sketching was hard, the article doable and critical thinking doable.

How did you prepare?

Just staying calm! Nothing could’ve prepared me really, apart from the article they had sent which I recommend you thoroughly understanding.

Looking back, what advice would you give to your past self?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in, seriously. I know someone who wore jeans and got the offer, a suit is not necessary!!
